SP & Company November Stamp Release!

Happy Thursday!

The SP & Company November Stamp Release is finally here! We have had some great sneak peeks, but it's time to finally reveal the stamps!

This month's color is Red! Not only does the Design Team get to play with this color, but YOU do too! After you're done hopping around today, make sure you play along with this month's red challenge (click here for details) for a chance to win some awesome SP and Company prizes! And don't forget that the random prize patrol is watching so leave a comment on every blog each day to be eligible for the prizes!!

Today, I have made a large Christmas tag for one of my special Christmas gifts.  It is a homemade gift also, but I am still working on it and cannot reveal it at this time.  The new stamp set I am working with today is just awesome!!!  It is called Vintage Varsity and these numbers can be used for anything from sports to tags!  I decided to use the number 25 since that is Christmas day and I stamp it on light card stock six different times in offset rows.  It looks like I cut the paper down to size, but that is how I stamped it...so that the image goes off the page.  I also stamped most of it lightly to give a more distressed look and then stamped it dark, one good time.  I also used the Christmas Medley sentiment and then took an edge distresser to each layer and also added some brown and black ink.  These techniques help to make this tag more distressed and old fashion.

Tag Size:  4" x 6"
SP & Company Stamps:  Vintage Varsity(numbers), Christmas Medley(sentiment)
Card Stock:  Stampin' Up
Pattern Paper:  My Mind's Eye
Embossing Ink:  Stampin' Up Dye Soft Suede
Chalk Ink:  VersaMagic Jumbo Java, Black
Ribbon:  Michael's
Flowers/leaves:  Prima
Edge distresser:  Heidi Swapp
Brads:  Spare Parts by The Paper Studio

I hope I have inspired you to make some homemade Christmas tags!  This is a big tag and it was so much fun to make and it also looks so much better than a store bought tag and your friends and family will appreciate your handy work!
Make sure you check out the SP Blog and see what Samantha did with the new stamps! Also, Patty, Stephanie, Kelli, Chrissie and Jen all have projects for you today, so stop by their blogs and check out what they have been up to.

  11. What an awesome tag! Great idea to stamp the numbers repeatedly lighter and one darker for emphasis…and making it look like you cut the paper rather than made your own background. Cool!
