Card Charity--A Million Thanks

I joined The Mosy Scrapper Forum this month and one of the things they do each month is have a Charity that they make cards for. http://www.themosyscrapper.com/calling-all-card-makers-f25/?sid=b0c90b35772a36af14950ee3dafde41c

This month the card charity was for "A Million Thanks." http://www.amillionthanks.org/ Their mission is: A Million Thanks is a year-round campaign to show our appreciation to our U.S. Military Men and Women, past and present for their sacrifices, dedication, and service to our country through our letters, emails, cards, and prayers.

Our job at The Mosy Scrapper was to make Thank You cards in Red, White, Blue and Metallic. We wrote notes of encouragement to the troops and they will be received by troops all over. Here are the cards I made. They are simple, simple cards I made using some scraps I had and stamps, but in each one it has a heartfelt "Thanks" for the wonderful job they are doing.

This was a great charity and I am looking forward to seeing what next month's charity is. If you like making cards and helping to make others feel good, come join us and make some great cards! Also, don't forget to check out: http://www.amillionthanks.org/

Cupcakes Galore!

For anyone who loves cupcakes, this is a Cupcake Whimsy Jar I did for a swap on Two Peas this past Spring. We had to get a 2 quart Cracker Jar (got mine from Walmart--it is exactly the same as the one at Hobby Lobby and cheaper), decorate it, fill it with cupcake goodies and make something handmade to go along with it.
I chose to make little cupcake cards that could be put with a gift or used as a tag. These were stamped, embossed and then I used several different colors of Stickles on them.

I embossed the cupcakes, Stickled them and cut them for the top and side of the Whimsy Jar.

I filled the jar with stamps, stickers, ribbon, cupcake liners, sprinkles and anything Cupcake I could find!

This was a great swap and I had so much fun with it! Hope you enjoy! Now it's time to go and CREATE! Have a great evening!
Big Hugs,
Steph

Flowers Galore

Happy Tuesday to everyone! I am starting to get back into the swing again.

I love flowers! I wanted to share an altered item with you that I did a few months ago!! This was for a flower swap I was in at 2Peas! We had to decorate a 13.5oz Starbucks Frappacuino bottle and fill it with flowers--half Prima flowers and half handmade flowers. This is the bottle I decorated and sent to my swap pal. The handmade flowers were made with the Cricut, cardstock, various patterned paper, Stickles and various brads! I even embossed some of them with ink. I am going to be making some more shortly, so I will share those with you! Apparently, I forgot to take a pic of the actual flowers I made before they went in the bottle! LOL :)

If you have any questions on this project, just let me know! I will start posting my instructions with my projects as I go! Time to create!

Lots of fun stuff for July!

Well, July has come in with a bang---lots of great things are happening! First, I got my new Stampin' Up stamps and catalog today! The catalog has some amazing stamps and goodies in it! Wow...I am so excited all the new goodies! I also love my new stamps! I ordered the "Life's a Breeze" set and the "Just Beachy" set! I love these sets---so beachy! I also got a bonus set of stamps from Samantha's online crop. It is "Botanical Blooms" and I love it! I can't wait to use all three sets!

I am also continuing to participate in Samantha's SP Color Combo Challenge and will be posting my entry sometime tomorrow! This is such a fun challenge! If you would like to participate, please check out her blog at: http://spcolorcombos.blogspot.com/

Also this month, it looks like Hero Arts is launching a new look to their website! Check it out July 15! I'm sure it will be great! I love Hero Arts stamps too! They have some great ones!

Finally, here is a pic for a Vintage Inchies doll Swap I did recently! This is Roxie Road Trip and she was my August Doll. We had 12 people in our swap and we each took a month of the year and made a vintage doll! I chose August! I had a really hard time with this swap, but it was lots of fun!
